I will award medals and fan !!!!!!!!! What number should be added to the expression x2 + 10x to change it into a perfect square trinomial? A. 5 B. 10 C. 25 D. 100

@TylerElizabeth

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to complete the square in this situation you would take 10 and divide it by 2 to get 5 then square 5 to get 25. so the equation would be x^2 + 10x + 25. That factors down to (x+5)(x+5) so @thu1935 is correct :)

i dont understand what he said

OpenStudy (anonymous):

He did it a different way. When you FOIL (x+5)(x+5) or (x+5)^2 it will equal x^2 + 10x + 25
