I don't think it will be out for android too soon.
My guess is that they're first improving the iOS app with your feedback, and then port it to android once it has reached a certain point of perfection.

Anyways in reply to the Android question, it shouldn't take too long (emphasis on shouldn't) they will probably work out the bugs in this release and once it's good to go they can make one for Android which should not take to long to do since the design is already there.

Why doesn't the response being posted have a preview of the formatted math? :-( Takes me back to the days long ago when Prof. Knuth was still actively developing \(\TeX\), and countless trees gave their lives as we tried to assess whether we'd finally found the right incantations to format our documents the way we wanted...

Other things that need attention, in no particular order:

1) links should be recognized and active so we can view external attachments
2) the favorite subjects list when being scrolled by a right-handed person tends to go back to the previous screen as any component of the swipe that goes up and to the left triggers this behavior
3) the favorite subjects list might be better sorted either manually or by frequency
4) the settings page has all of its content squashed into about 1/3 of the available area, and is illegible
5) profile page lists different values for smartscore components than the website!
6) should at least have a window to view current notification status.
7) having advertisements is much more annoying than it is on the desktop variant.
8) allocation of screen space is a bit suboptimal: I've seen large blocks given to showing previous responses in a thread, but then the current block showing the response with formatted math has a small portion of the screen and has to be scrolled through! As an example, look at the topic in this forum from krazykat that starts "Im new here, what good do medals do?"
9) once you start responding, there seems to be no way to view the original question or other responses except by posting or scrapping the current post draft.
10) any plans to make a tablet-oriented version that effectively uses the larger screen space?
11) I've seen some cases where the content from one response is drawn over the following response.
12) it'd be nice to be able to see if the OP is still present before spending time writing a reply
13) it'd be nice to see if anyone else is responding before causing a collision
14) doing a search which fails (such as searching for poly nomial in this group (without the space)) elicits a response that "There are no questions in the group." That's not correct. There are no questions that contain the search string, perhaps.
15) the (x) button in the search field does not clear the search field after a search
16) it does not appear to be possible to edit the search field after doing a search
17) how do I browse closed questions?

18) I noticed after posting an answer on iPad and contributing further responses from Mac that even an hour later the iPad had not noticed the additional responses.
19) looking at this thread, for example, on the iPad, one can't see the bulk of most of the responses! For example, looking at Xmoses1's "I have been waiting so long and have been so excited for the app, but when it finally comes out, I have no" — and that's all I get!

No, it's an iPhone app, so only iPhone and iPad and iPod touch. Personally, I'd rather see a really good app for one major platform than a half-baked app for two platforms, but I'll freely admit to being biased as I use the platform they currently support!

The app is rather glitchy. Slight touches to the screen drop/bring out the side menu panel and as it is a minor problem, it's a little annoying. Also, seeing the questions you have posted on all forums would be a nice add on to the menu. In addition please improve or add notifications on questions.

I just found the app in the App Store earlier. I just downloaded the app for my iPod Touch 5g. This is my first reply in the app. So far no problems. Still haven't found my notifications, messages, or the chat. Was looking in the other replies and there's no messaging yet. What about notifications and chat. The main things I like on here is PM and chatting. Guess I will have to do that on my computer for now. When can we expect another update?

P.S One thing I like about the app is the search button now I can search questions and find the answer. That's something I couldn't get on the computer version.

If you have an OpenStudy URL on the clipboard when launching or switching to the OpenStudy mobile app, it should offer to open that question for you in order to make responding to email notifications much easier.
