how do you know whether you can trust Wikipedia or another online sources

OpenStudy (artsy_brian):

Well, most teachers will ask you not to use Wikipedia as a source since users can just edit info that might not be accurately as they said it is. If you scroll down, you could look at the "References" category where it would lead you to where they got the info from. A trick that i always do is that what ever quote or info that i might think can be useful for my work i search it up in different sites to see if it's accurate as Wikipedia. If most sites, which i would look for .org have same info i would go for those sites instead. However, there a few teachers who nowadays state that Wikipedia isn't the same as before b/c it's more accurate, still, they will all recommend you to scroll down to references or look for a better reliable source.
