HELP! MEDAL REWARDED!! What are the solutions to the following system of equations? y = x^2 + 12x + 30 8x − y = 10 a) (−4, −2) and (2, 5) b) (−2, −4) and (2, 5) c) (−2, −4) and (5, 2) d) No Real Solution

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do you know?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thks for medal

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

I don't get C if C was correct....lets plug them in...the answers for C are (-2, -4) and (5,2) y = x^2 + 12x + 30 8x − y = 10 that first equation will become -4 = (-2)^2 + 12(-2) + 30 -4 = 4 - 24 + 30 -4 = -20 + 30 -4 = 10 ?? no, that is incorrect
