Hello

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

Length of a² ?? Is that correct?

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

I'll draw a diagram

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

Well .707 is sqrt(2) / 2 but that's not an answer either

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

Here's the drawing: It seems to me that since angle A=45° then the side opposite it must be called 'a'. The other angles (B & C) would have to be 45° and 90° Perhaps A is the middle angle And the base angles would equal 67.5 ° each?

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

Here's a new graphic

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

new drawing

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

What th heck are we finding? length of a² ??

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

So a² = 9.3725830020

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

Seems as if they want that in those dumb retrice"radical" answers we might have to solve the height too. Man this question is so weird, indirect, obtuse ......... ARRGGGHHH !!!!!!!!

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

Height = 3.69551813

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

I have the answer: side a² = 9.3725830020 4^2( 2 - radical 2) = 16 * (2 - sqrt(2))= 16 * (0.5857864376) = 9.372583002 So the answer is 4^2( 2 - radical 2) which I believe is the last answer you listed. What a stupid way to post an answer 4^2( 2 - radical 2) That must be a strange class you're in.
