find the intercepts for the graph of the equation given. 7x-6y=42 x-intercept is ? y-intercept is ?

OpenStudy (acxbox22):

x intercept is when y is equal to 0 so to find it just plug in 0 for y and slove for x y intercept is the opposite and it is when x is equal to 0 to find the y intercept plug in 0 for x and slove for y remember they are still coordinates so put them in a form (0,y) (x,0)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay well i got -7 and 6 but what are the other coordinates (-7, ?) (?,6)

OpenStudy (acxbox22):

0! because intercepts are when the other value is 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so what i put is correct right? but the question marks are 0?

OpenStudy (acxbox22):

(-7,0) is x-intercept (0,6) is y-intercept

OpenStudy (acxbox22):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks
