what is the unsimplified solution for x2 + 8x + 6 = 0?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you need to use the qudratic formula -b plus or minus the sqare root of b squared -4ac all over 2a when a=1 b=8 c=6 because the equation is in the form ax+bx+c got it from there?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not really, i still dont know how to do the quadratic formula

this is the problem and answers

so if you plug in b you'l get -8 once you do that you'll want to work with whats under the square root b^2 is 8^2 which is 64 and the -4ac part -4(1)(6) 6 times 1 is 6. 6 times -4 is -24 so then 64-24 which is 40 sqrt of 40 get it so far?

oh yeah now I see it o.o thank you
