Choose one short story and one poem from the 19th century. Write to compare the ways in which each of these may be considered representative of American culture during the time period in which it was written. Cite specific evidence from the literature to support your ideas. I chose "The story of an hour" By kate Chopin's and "The Raven" by edgar allen poe but I don't understand what its asking me to do

It says english at the top and all of the question being asked are about english so I didnt put it in the math section.

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Apologies. Something in OpenStudy's programming put your question under Math...so that's definitely not your fault.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh ha yea it shows its under english lol

I can't go into much detail because my primary field is Math and I have students waiting. However, I see you have 2 different works of literature, one of which is contemporary and the other about 200 years old. Obviously life events were different back then as compared to now. You are asked to compare and contrast events from one story with events from the other that relfect the different time periods.

Oh okay thank you!

OpenStudy (mathmale):

My pleasure!
