OpenStudy (anonymous):

ill say d

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's c or d

OpenStudy (anonymous):

go with d,

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok, thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no promblem

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

Okay, gang, anyone going to discuss *why* it might be one of those answers?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's c or d because x has to be 90

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

I agree that x must be 90, but can you tell me why it must be 90?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Because it is a right angle!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So is d right. I got to hurry I have a lot more questions.

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

you can figure this out by noting that you must have an isosceles triangle because of the two equal sides (not equilateral because the 70 degree angle isn't right). That means you have two angles of 70 degrees each, and the interior angles of a triangle sum to 180 degrees, so 2y = 180 - 70 - 70 or 2y = 40 and thus y = 20
