A car dealership has three types of cars: sedans, coupes, and convertibles. Each can have either automatic transmission or manual transmission. Eight different colors are available for each type of car. What is the total number of combinations a car buyer has to consider?
how would you figure this out??
i think it is 48
3x8x2, unless I am mistaken..

simplest way to solve is draw it out , you have a possibility of 16 different choices for each car, multiply that by three for all three different cars and you will get a total of 48 choices.
