OpenStudy (kewlgeek555):

*mosquito mosquito mosquito* LOL @Lo-Siento-Mi-Amor . cx In the Reinassance, there was many influence we see today. I think the main influence was humanism... "It demonstrated that the human race had huge potential and human beings could achieve great things in the world. Humanists believed that ideas, art, and inventions were valuable in themselves, not just for the glorification of God, and that there could be less emphasis on religion. Humanism allowed artists to paint portraits of secular, non-religious people and places. Writers could write literature in the vernacular of the people and not just in Latin. Other Renaissance thinkers were able to create inventions and building projects that benefitted people now and made everyday life easier." Along with humanism, the Renaissance is known for its art. With the Renaissance, there was more realistic art that included perspective (a 2-D image looking 3-D (an illusion (the small man and the big man))), Chiaroscuro, which is basically just shading or the creation of shadows, and even painting of the actual renaissance era. Something that actually made it easier for artists was the patronage system. And then came literature, which was when new writings and text came and a lot of them focused on actual humanism. Think of Shake-sphere and Cervantes. There was also the Scienctific Revolution, which you will learn later in the next segment (I am in module 8). The main things of the beginning of the Scientific Revolution was the Solar System. First, there was the theory of the earth being in the middle, then someone proves the sun was actually in the middle because of the plants that were around the earth he saw using the telescope. There was also architecture. There were classical, gothic, and islamic influences in the architecture of the Renaissance. There was also an better shipbuilding with more advanced ships. So based on what I put *phew* what do we have now that is thanks to the beautiful and sexy renaissance?
