What is the approximate area of a circle with a radius of 26ft? Just want the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Take your radius and then square it and then multiply it by 3.14

OpenStudy (yanasidlinskiy):

Same thing with the question last time. Just like @campbell_st said. simple and easy steps!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hold a sec

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol can you just tell me the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No you have to figure this out on your own. That is the only way you will learn

OpenStudy (anonymous):

get your calculator and put in 26 times 26 and then multiply the product by 3.14. YOu are obviously on a computer so you just have to get your online calculator

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok I got 2122.64

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There is your answer :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thanks :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you help me with one more

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is the exact area of a circle with a radius of 31 cm?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sure :) So this problem is almost the same as the last one other than the numbers have changed. Just take your radius and multiply it by itself on your calculator, then multiply that by 3.14

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well ya I did that but I got 3017.54 and that isn't a answer choice

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What are the answer choices?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A. 15.5 B. 31 C. 961 D. 240.25

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Are you sure it says area? Because none of those are even remotely close to the area

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes it does just didn't put it in right the right way is A. 15.5pi cm B. 31pi cm C. 961pi cm D.240.25pi cm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OHHH It is in the right form but what you have to do is square 31 and then you have your answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What did you get?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok I did that but I have 5.56 and so on

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry my fault. When i said square 31, i was meaning that you have to multiply it by itself and then you will have the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OH lol I have it now it's 961pi cm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There is your answer. Can i have a medal? :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ya sure :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Good job dude :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol no problem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok I'm going to close the question
