They can't prove it... If you ask a religious person for proof that his/her religion is the right one, they will provide their holy book as the evidence. This doesn't prove anything, they only believe that what's written in those books.

You know that the killing rate has drastically decreased lately? In medieval times, there were like a 100 times more killing than nowadays.

The weather is going crazy due to global warming and the fact that we're on our way to a "green age". This is the opposite of an ice age. The earth will get warmer and warmer due to natural increase of CO2 (by tectonic shifts and volcanic activity) until it reaches a peak and then we're on our way back to an ice age. This process takes millions of years.

By "apcolypse" I think he means the End times. The Bible predicts many End Time events which are coming true. It says Israel will be back in its land and will remain there, defeating those who try to capture the Holy Land for their group. One world government, peace treaties, etc etc etc, Syria being inhabitable (this could be by nuclear attack), list goes on and on.

The end of times will be when the sun runs out of hydrogen fuel and expands until it swallows the earth. This will be in approximately 5-7 billion years. So we have nothing to worry :D

That maybe average temperature data from the past, but we are no longer living in the past. There are 8.9 billion people on this Earth now. Believe it or not, but we have done some ozone damage, and are contributing to the rise of temperature.

The sun going out does not seem like a likely way we would die, I do not believe that we as humans can get along for that long. We all have greed, and greed will be the end of all of us. Plus WMDs play a big role.

I am not questioning if temperatures are on the rise or not. If we get the charts and see a trend, of course it is. We can observe a temperature rise. So I do know temperatures may be rising. I am only saying that I don't believe the Earth will become inhabitable. The earth has gone through many extreme temperature conditions, and yet it is still habitable. Very few scientists agree on the global warming idea yet, nor less how it even happens or what causes it. We have seen temperatures rise and fall on earth many times in history, long before machines and such made factors that could contribute to warming. We are to be good stewards of the earth, but first we must look at past climate changes and determine what the cause it (natural or human) then fix it.
