PLEASE HELP!!! I WILL GIVE MEDALS TO EVERYONE WHO ANSWERS!!! Juan has just received school pictures of his 3 grandchildren, David, Robert, and Miranda. He randomly placed the pictures on the mantle above the fireplace. How many different ways can the 3 pictures be arranged?

Well, he starts with 3 choices of a picture to put in a certain spot. After he places a picture, he can't place it again, so for the next place he only has 2 choices. The final place, only one choice. 3*2*1 = 6 different combinations possible.
