Complete the ray diagram for an object in front of a lens to show how to find the location and size of the image from the location and size of the object. F labels the focal points of the lens. In this case, draw all the rays needed to locate the object. Then state whether the image is real or virtual and upright or inverted.

Given the drawing I've attached, is the image real or virtual?

OpenStudy (rock_mit182):

inverted but is it real or virtual ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If an image forms on the opposite side of the lens from the object, it is a real image and is inverted. A virtual image forms on the same side of the lens as the object, and the image is not inverted.
