In order to find the ratio, first : i) Calculate the total number of people surveyed ii) Find the no. of people who love action movies.
c?
No @serenamoon ... Can you tell me how you found "c" ?
The required ratio will be : \(\textbf{Required Ratio} = \cfrac{\text{No. of people surveyed}}{\text{No. of people who prefer action movies}}\)
subtracted 160 And 80
Subtracted? I think, you have misunderstood the question.
See, we are required to find the ratio i.e. we have to divide one thing by other.
To find no. of people surveyed : Sum up the given no. of people for each type (160, 200, 80, 360) . Are you getting my point @serenamoon ?
160:800 is what i got from adding the total number of people who surveyed to the number of people who prefer action movies.
so divide those numbers?
@serenamoon yes, \(\color{blue}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @mathslover The required ratio will be : \(\textbf{Required Ratio} = \cfrac{\text{No. of people surveyed}}{\text{No. of people who prefer action movies}}\) \(\color{blue}{\text{End of Quote}}\)
@kryptonite1218 - You have done counting right but the fraction is not correctly made. Flip it over as you have to find ratio of No. of people surveyed to No. of people who prefer action movies.
dude, i think your answer is A...
@kryptonite1218 - Yes, it is A but please let the asker do it himself. If we will give direct answers to the users, then it will not benefit them in any way. Please read OpenStudy's Code-of-Conduct : http://openstudy.com/code-of-conduct
