The lengths of the corresponding sides of two similar trapezoids are in the ratio 2/6. If the area of the larger trapezoid is 567in^2, what is the area of the smallee trapezoid?

OpenStudy (kirbykirby):

The ratio must be squared when comparing areas. And so, \((2/6)^{2}=1/9\) So, the area of the small trapezoid is 1/9 smaller than the large trapezoid.
