A circle has its center at (-1, 2) and a radius of 3 units. What is the equation of the circle? (x - 1)2 + (y + 2)2 = 3 (x + 1)2 + (y - 2)2 = 3 (x + 1)2 + (y + 2)2 = 9 (x + 1)2 + (y - 2)2 = 9

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

they general form is \[(x -h)^2 + (y - k)^2 = r^2\] where (h, k) is the centre and r is the radius... you have h = -1, k = 2 and r = 3 so substitute and simplify the radius... hope it helps

thank you so much
