D i believe.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i wanna be sure, this is my third time taking the test /;

We see that the slope is positive, and the line crosses the y axis when y = 3. The equation for a line is: y = mx+b where m is the slope, and b is the y intercept. Which choice has a positive slope and an intercept of 3?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B and D ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B has a negative slope (the minus sign in front of the x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Where the line crosses the X axis is (-3, 0) and then it crosses the Y axis at (0, 3), to I believe it is D, because Y is 3 more than (-3, 0)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so then d?

RockerSk8er was dead on, I was just filling in the "why" and showing how to solve future problems of a similar type :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

go to wolframalpha.com and plug in all of the answers they give you. then match them up.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you guys help with one more?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Of course. I would've explained why, if she had asked me to. Lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think C, but I'm not sure.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks hunn

Plug what you are given into the "point slope form" of a line. y-yo = m(x-xo) where xo and yo are the x and y of the point you were given, and m is the slope.
