OpenStudy (phi):

try dividing the first equation by 2 (both sides , *all* terms)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

use Gauss elimination: divide first eq. by 2 and subtract it from 2nd: solve for y and substitute it back in first eq. to solve for x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x=2/5 y=1
