If a teacher can finish a test 3 times quicker than student who takes 40 minutes to finish, what equation would be used to determine how many minutes it would take for both teacher and student to finish test if working together?
So when they work together, the student would do 1/4 of the test and the teacher would do 3/4 of the test. Thus student would do a quarter of the test in 10 minutes, and the teacher will finish 3/4 of the test in 10 minutes. So they would together finish the test in 10 minutes. Can you just tell me the equation?
would it be 1/x + 1/3x=1
Don't believe this is a straight forward situation. Kind of like this logic: It takes one woman 9 moths to make a baby. How many moths would it take 12 women to make one baby?
@radar, "moths". I lol'd.
radar, lol ! They are doing the same test :)
"both ...working together [on one test] " ( quote )
wait, are you kidding, or for real ?
who are you talking to?
Just kidding.
