No, the prokaryotic cell lacks a nucleus but has genetic material - (i) genomic DNA (sequestered in a region known as the nucleoid) as well as (ii) plasmid DNA.

not at all but it lacks nucleus. the genetic material if floating freely in the cytoplasm. 2 types of genetic material are present the main DNA in the nucleoid region and a small DNA circular plasmid.
