Medal for first answer! :] Amanda exercised for 10 minutes every day in the first week, 20 minutes in the second week, 30 minutes in the third week, and 40 minutes in the fourth week.
Billy exercised for 5 minutes every day in the first week, 10 minutes in the second week, 20 minutes in the third week, and 40 minutes in the fourth week. Which statement best describes the methods used by Amanda and Billy to increase the time they spent exercising? Amanda's method is linear because the number of minutes increased by an equal number every week. Billy's method is linear because the number of minutes increased by an equal factor every week. Both Billy and Amanda's method is exponential because the number of minutes increased by an equal factor every week. Both Billy and Amanda's method is exponential because the number of minutes increased by an equal number every week.
@superdavesuper hi, could ya help me with this problem?
hi MyChem, i can try :) OK....let's look at each of the choices: what do u think of the 1st one?
for amanda, 1st week 10 minutes, 2nd wk 20 minutes, 3rd wk 30 minutes....and the first statement says...
okay I think its A :3
:P i think i should tell u start looking at the last choice first! lol
^~^
u wanna tell me why the second statement is not right? ;)
no lol xD
>< lazy gurl!! JK hehehee
The second statement is not right because billy's number of days were not equal :P
Alright i take back what i said :) good job, MyChem!
so it is A? :]
@superdavesuper
yes because third n 4th choice are obviously wrong - Amanda n billy's methods are different. So A is the right answer :)
