Mike drove 1/4 of the distance to the movie theater in minutes. At this pace, how long will it take Mike to get to the movie theater? Express your answer in simplest form.

How many minutes?

5 1/2

Driving is such a slow way to get places. How many 'quarters' are there in a whole, incidentally? ^.^

what is da answer i have done dat but dont get it

I'd strongly suggest that you try doing this problem with algebra. Please choose a letter (such as x) to represent the TOTAL distance to the movie theater. Then (1/4)x divided by 5.5 minutes is your speed. Next, divide your distance, x, by your speed to obtain the time required.

Aww... he left :( Oh well, life goes on :D

@cinaeth : Regarding your "what is da answer i have done dat but dont get it:" Please understand that you can ask for help in finding your own answers/solutions, but you may NOT just ask people to give you answers. Read the Code of Conduct, if you haven't already. Also: common courtesy requires that you stay with your question either until you've found a solution or you inform the other person that you're leaving. Don't just disappear (as you appear to have done).
