integaration of cos(4x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

These kinds of problems I just do logically. What's the integral of cos(x)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sin(x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah. When we do the chain rule on sin(4x), we get 4cos(4x). So we just have to multiply 1/4 by sin(4x) to get 1/4 * 4 cos(4x) = cos(4x). The integral is 1/4 * sin(4x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what about integral of sin(x).sqrt(x)dx

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you know integration by parts?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes uv-vdu
