Which physical properties are characteristic of nonmetal solids? Choose all that apply. (2 points) brittle little luster malleable ductile good conductors of heat

OpenStudy (aaronq):

i would say brittle (crumble) and little luster (they aren't shiny). They're not malleable nor ductile because of the type of bonding involved (covalent), and they're good insulators which makes them bad at heat conduction.

OpenStudy (aaronq):

An example of a nonmetal solid that fits these categories would be like a hard plastic.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay thank you! So its Brittle and Little Luster! Thanks so much! (: Im really bad at science :/ Sorry

OpenStudy (aaronq):

lol no problem, really! though if you read your textbook you'll be able to understand these concepts a bit better :P good luck!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't have a text book this year. Thats kind of the problem and the reason i'm struggling so much :/

OpenStudy (aaronq):

oh what. how do they expect you to know this stuff? seems unreasonable.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know. They show us in lessons. But they really dont provide enough information. Im going into a different school program next year.

OpenStudy (aaronq):

yeah, that's not enough, plus you need some sort of reference. That sounds like a good choice. Hm you could try looking up material online in the meantime, or i could send you a pdf file of a first year textbook, though i'm not sure it'd be beneficial to you because of the level.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ya, I dont know. I'm just trying to pass this year.

OpenStudy (aaronq):

aight, good luck !
