It does seem hard to think that there should be any sort of correlation between height and math scores in some population of kids presumably of essentially equal age. I would expect there to be just a cloud of data points smeared across the graph. That said, you probably could construct a reasonable horizontal line that went through the middle that had about half the points above and half below.
