Martin Luther King Jr. uses figurative language strategically throughout his letter to promote equality. How does the following instance help accomplish his purpose of challenging the church leaders to take action against racial injustice? Like a boil that can never be cured as long as it is covered up but must be opened with all its pus-flowing ugliness to the natural medicines of air and light, injustice must likewise be exposed, with all of the tension its exposing creates, to the light of human conscience and the air of national opinion before it can be cured.

write 3 to 5 sentances about how the following instance help accomplish his purpose of challenging the church leaders to take action against racial injustice . Then i guess you read the paragraph and answer. I'm just stuck

whitemonsterbunny17 (whitemonsterbunny17):

He illustrates to the church the ugliness of racial injustice is alike to a boil. He states that the boil "can never be cured as long as it is covered up". By stating this, he is illustrating how the ugliness of racial injustice will never be solved until it is exposed. He explains that it needs to be brought to the attention of the "human conscience and the air of national opinion" before it can be "cured", meaning that racial injustice would end.
