Juanita wants participate in 20 km bicycle race. She is considering using 1 of the 2 training programs below: Program A: Ride 10 km on the first day and increase the distance by an additional 500 m each day Program B: Ride 7,500 m on the first day and increase the distance by an additional 0.75 km each day. If Juanita chooses Program A, on which day she ride on the first 15 km for the first time

Can someone please walk me through the whole problem.

500 meters is half a kilometer. So, two days past the first equals one more kilometer. We need to find how many days to get an additional 5 kilometers. 10 days of an additional 500m equals an additional 5km. So, on her first day she rides 10 km's, and then ten days from there she rides the other 5km's. So, 1+10=?
