If earth had no atmosphere, would a falling object ever reach terminal velocity

No. It would not. Drag (due to the air in the atmosphere) would not be present, therefore the object would never start to slow down, and would just keep accelerating.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, but it might not keep falling forever. It might hit the earth and stop. However, if it were in orbit, it would effectively be falling forever.
