I would suggest for you to visually think about this question because it requires for you think about the placement of the coordinates. -3 is on the x-axis and -2 too. -1 on both is on the y-axis. If you place the coordinates right next to each other, you will see that they form a horizontal line because only the x-axis changes and the y-axis stays the same.

I think you (J) wanted to focus on the problem involving a line through 2 given points. Is that right? If so, ask yourself: What x- or y- component doe the 2 points have in commeon? "calculusxy" has done a very good job of explaining this.
