What is y = 9(x+4)2 - 12 in standard form?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

well I'd say as a starting point it can be written as \[y = 9(x^2 + 8x + 16) - 12\] so distribute the 9 collect like terms... then write it in standard for... below is my understanding of standard form \[y = ax^2 + bx + c\] hope it helps
