You're funny. I have clicked through the ebook page by page. There are no flowcharts. I have checked the BlackBoard page for this course, there are no handouts. I have tried Google. I'm baffled. I have even sent the course instructor an email and so far have not received a response. I failed that homework assignment because I do not have the tools to complete the homework. This is the only class I have ever had make me cry

Sorry if you thought I was trying to be funny; I wasn't. If the problem says "use the correct flow chart to do X" the only way you'll be able to do the problem as requested is to find the flow chart, right?

Now, maybe you do have the flow chart, and just aren't recognizing it. For example, here's a web page which claims to be a flow chart: http://www.pstcc.edu/departments/mathematics/resource/MTH1020/How_do_I_solve_this_equation.pdf

That's not a flow chart in the traditional sense, with a graphical rendition of the steps to take, but it does function in much the same way.

But even if we had the flow chart, it doesn't seem like you've provided a complete statement of the problem.

Oh I was being sarcastic with the funny remark.
Looking at those flowcharts, it looks like they are asking me to show my work step by step. Even so, I still cannot answer the original question because there is nothing to solve.

I make no claim that the page I sent you is the flow chart that the problem is asking you to use, simply that it is a chart describing how to solve a problem.

As for the original problem and lack of detail, it doesn't seem from my vantage point like you are being well-served by whichever educational system is in use here. I doubt you can do much about it at this point, but were I in your shoes, I'd have another look at any alternatives for next year.

There is no "next year/semester". This is my final semester. I am due to grad in a few days. I wish I had known about her BEFORE I chose her class! She was not listed on ratemyprofessor.com so I took a leap of faith. Seems like I chose poorly and sipped from the incorrect goblet. (Indiana Jones reference.)

I meant that the page you sent me is using "show your work" as a type of flowchart. :) But with only Find A if x = -20, I don't see how any person can give a correct answer without more information. Need an equation or something to solve.
