14x^2y-21xy+35xy^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you want me to explain how to do it ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay I will explain to make sure you know it So first your going to simplify 14x2y-21xy + (5*7xy2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first you have to be clear as to what the question is what are you supposed to do with this?

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

I'm a bit suspicious that this problem may not be written quite correctly...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is not even written there is no question, just the expression \[14x^2y-21xy+35xy^2\] that is not a question, it is an expression in \(x\) and \(y\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you like you can factor out the common factor of \(7xy\) if that is the goal

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

assuming the task is to factor it, and also assuming we're going to end up with the usual result of a product of two binomials, then there would seem to be an error in transmission. However, I admit that perhaps the problem author just wanted the less interesting version seen here :-)
