OpenStudy (abbles):

Which equation could be used to solve for the measure of angle P?

OpenStudy (abbles):

OpenStudy (abbles):

a. y + x = 180 b. y + w = 180 c. y - (z + w) = 360 d. y + z + w = 360

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you know what the total that the four angles should equal to?

OpenStudy (abbles):

360 degrees

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes, so to find P w+y+z+x=360 but that is not an option, so which equation would say the same thing using a different order?

OpenStudy (abbles):

I would say B because the opposite angles equal 180 degrees but I might be wrong.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why would you want to find 180 degrees instead of 360?

OpenStudy (abbles):

I don't know... that was the only one that made sense to me. Can you explain why c or d would be the answer instead?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no, you are correct that it is b, I was just trying to see if you understood why you are correct.

OpenStudy (abbles):

Oh okay, thanks.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:)
