Can someone walk me through as to how to solve this? I don't want just the answer, I want to know how to do it.

@skullpatrol will you help?
OpenStudy (skullpatrol):
Any ideas?

I thought about trying to divide the shape into more common shapes. But I wasn't sure if that was headed in the right direction.

Sounds like the right direction to me :-)

The shapes I got was (I think its called a trapezoid) from the top, a triangle and a square. But then I have trouble figuring out like what numbers go on the sides and such.

Something like that is what I was thinking.

I have a better idea, how about find the area of the entire 260 X 265 rectangle and then subtract away the small triangles...
