Circle the latter of the sentence in which the word in parentheses is used incorrectly. A.The film can detect even a (minuscule) ray of light B.Only a (minuscule) proportion of student today studies Greek . C.Rural American often attended a one room (minuscule). D.This film can detect even a (minuscule) ray of light.
@SauceBoss72
the answer is C. it makes no sense. the rest of the choices A,B,D. you can put the word minuscule in there. for C, however, if you take out the parenthesis and place the word in there, Rural American often attended a one room minuscule, doesn't make sense. hoped this helped.
Circle the latter of the sentence in which the word in parentheses is used incorrectly. A. The starving dog had become so attenuated that is collar slipped off. B. Although attenuated by fasting, Mahatma Gandhi remained influential in indie struggle for independence from the British. C. Bombing raid failed to attenuate symphony audience in London during “the blitz” of the World War 2. D. Your library fined will be attenuated from your allowance.
the answer is D. Attenuated (i assume thats the word in parentheses) means unnaturally thin. so A and B make sense due to them not eating, so they're unnaturally thin. the tricky questions are C and D. C changes tense so it becomes "reduce the force" which works with C. D, however, make no sense.
sorry i i forgot to put parentheses the words in parentheses should be attenuated
@SauceBoss72 so is it D or nahh
yes, the answer is D, makes no sense when you replace attenuated with unnaturally thin :p
