Your question was on finding the dimension for SHC, and that's the dimension for SHC in CGS. SHC in CGS (by definition) refers to the amount of heat energy (in cal) absorbed to raise the temperature of a 1g mass of the substance by 1 deg Celsius. Hence the formula above for the dimension of SHC.
