Since they are both negatives, you just add across. you can rule out the positives because you know the answer would be negative which gives you -8.45

@jexieloberr You understand that you are not suppose to give answers? You are suppose to show the asker for help how you arrived at the solution and explain how they got it!

your posting history is shown on your profile page. and ive already explained why they are suspect. if a person just posts an answer, ask them how they got that, what processes they take, something that would make the post have some study value. Thats all.

those that just give out a direct answer are being wrong :) we encourage people to guide towards a solution. To encourage the askers participation so that learning is fostered.
