what is the value of current and junction potential in ashort circuited p-n junction diode and why?

OpenStudy (arnavguddu):

0 A .... Diode in equilibrium and 0 bias wont leak out current .... this is because forward majority current across depletion current is equal to minority leakage current..... if this was not true..... charges from one side would have accumulated on the other side... giving rise to infinitely growing depletion potential....and increasing current even without applied voltage...which is against conservation of charge or energy principle..... hence zero bias diode current = diode short circuit curren t = 0......
