The ratio of the diameters of two circles is 3:5. The circumference of the larger circle is approximately 113.1 m. What is the approximate circumference of the smaller circle?

OpenStudy (yanasidlinskiy):

Ok diameter of larger circle = 36, so the ration of diameter is 3:5 that is equal to 3/5 = 0.60, so what is 36 x .60 = (that would be diameter of smaller circle) So you would get 21.6 and round that to 22.6.

OpenStudy (yanasidlinskiy):

The question the question is what is the circumference of the smaller circle, now you have the diameter of the smaller circle = 21.6, so the circumference is the diameter x 3.14 so 21.6 x 3.14
