What is the perimeter of the figure?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

First, find the lengths of the unmarked sections. The total height is 20 inches; so on the right side, the unmarked vertical section will be 20 in - 7 in, or 13 in. The total length is 18 in; so, the missing horizontal section will be 18 in - 12 in, or 6 in. Add the sections: 20in+12in+13in+6in+7in+18in = 76in for the perimeter for the area: calculate the total area then subtract the 'missing' area total area: 20in x 18in = 360in^2 'missing' area: 6inx13in = 78in^2 area for shape: 360in^2 - 78in^2 = 282 in^2

You have to figure out the missing sides and then add all the #'s up
