What is the probability of getting an odd number on a fair die and a tail on a coin flip 1/12 1/6 1/4 1/2 What is the probability of getting a number less than three on a fair die and a tail on a coin flip 1/12 1/6 1/4 1/2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

half the outcomes are odd/less than 3 so the answers will be the same how many outcomes are there? well 6 (for the die ) multiplied by 2 (for the coin) equals 12 outcomes each outcome has an equal chance of occuring so one outcome out of 12 outcomes

OpenStudy (raden):

P(a and b) = P(a) * P(b)
