how do you tell if the equation is a circle, hyperbola, ellipse, or parabola?
x^2/49 + y^2/100 = 1

if it's a circle, it wont have fractions in it
if its an ellipse, it will have fractions in it and there will be a + sign between them
it its a hyperbola, it will have fraction in it and the sign between them will be a -
