A plane flies in a straight line at 400 mph for 1 hour and 12 minutes. It makes a 15 degree turn and flies at 375 mph fpr 2 hours and 27 minutes. How far is it from its starting point?

Well, multiply the 400 by the 1 hour and 12 minutes in fraction form (1 and 1/5) and then multiply 375 by 2 hours and 27 minutes in fraction form (2 and 9/20.)
