projectile motion

OpenStudy (theeric):

Can you draw a picture? I'm not sure that I understand the situation.

OpenStudy (theeric):

Is that the exact wording of the question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes thats it =)

OpenStudy (theeric):

"a bomb is released at an angle 32 and hit a target 8m" So, the bomb is dropped from a moving object. What does it mean by a target 8m? 8m away? 8m off of the ground? How high is the bomb when released? Is the bomb projected? Or just dropped? There doesn't seem to be good context clues in the problem, for me.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i guess..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

?

OpenStudy (theeric):

So, the target is 8m below, and 95 ft away? That question that you posted is the exact wording?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes.

OpenStudy (theeric):

That's rough....

OpenStudy (theeric):

So it's this? That really can't be.... Unless the target got closer pretty fast. And the velocity you drop it at depends on the velocity of the target.|dw:1398216400144:dw| If it's shot out of a cannon or something....|dw:1398216670963:dw|But where does the 8 meters come in? I'm sorry, this is a very poorly worded question.
