Factory work in the late nineteenth century consisted mostly of _______.
a) long hours nd high pay b) short hours and high pay c) long hours and low pay d) short hours and low pay
Usually it was long hours and low pay. Many immigrants who came to America in search of work were sent to factories. These were harsh conditions and they usually worked for 16+ hours a day to make maybe 1/5 what they should have been making. Most of those buildings didn't even have fire escapes, so it was death waiting to happen. If you want to read more on it you can. My simply paragraph was from knowledge before. http://www.loc.gov/teachers/classroommaterials/presentationsandactivities/presentations/timeline/riseind/work/
