OpenStudy (j.f):

Jims car could go 75 miles on 3 gallons of gas. write the two rates given by this statement. How far could his car go on 12 gallons of gas? I know this is very simple but I am having a brain fart:/

OpenStudy (jadeishere):

well 75 is to 3 as x is to 12 so 3 * 4 = 12 75 * 4 = x

OpenStudy (j.f):

ok, so that explains to the rates. 3x4=12 and 75x4=300...that makes sense. thanks

OpenStudy (jadeishere):

Yep :P

OpenStudy (jadeishere):

Thanks for the medal >.< I don't really need one though

OpenStudy (j.f):

OpenStudy (jadeishere):
