OpenStudy (anonymous):

Any work on this so far ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-2(x+4)(x+4)+6=0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Now FOIL it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[-2x^2+12x+22?\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats the prt im stuck on i don't know what to do with the -2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

please check last term once ....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

should it be +16?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it should be like -2x^2-12x-26 okay ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok i get that part now

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So we get equation as y = -2x^2-12x-26 Now to find symmetry just replace x by -x if you got original equation then it is symmetric about x axis getting this ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so should I do the whole \[-\frac{ b }{ 2a }\]
