You are going to pull two cards from a standard deck of 52 cards (without replacement) and record whether you got a face card (jack, queen, king, or ace) or a number card (2-10). Which list of events correctly makes up the sample space?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

face face face number number face number number

OpenStudy (penguin1234):

Answer choices are A: two number cards, two face cards, one number card and one face card, one face card and one number card B: two number cards, two face cards, one number card and one face card C:two number cards, two face cards D:number card, face card

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it would be A because here it is permutations from an infinite set.

OpenStudy (penguin1234):

sure i have anoher question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is your other question?

OpenStudy (penguin1234):

A cumulative frequency graph is shown for the shoe size of a class of 9th graders at Brookwood High School. What is the probability that a student wears size 12 shoes (round to the nearest hundredth)? A) 0.06 B) 0.23 C) 0.95 D) 1

OpenStudy (penguin1234):

OpenStudy (penguin1234):

Here is the picture of the graph

OpenStudy (penguin1234):

Did you see it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes I did and I would say it is B

OpenStudy (penguin1234):

how

OpenStudy (penguin1234):

next one: The probability that a blue marble is drawn out of a bag is 3 5 . What is the probability that a blue marble is NOT drawn?

OpenStudy (penguin1234):

its suppose to be 3/5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well I looked at the graph and took the sum of the frequencies. I than divided the frequency of 12 by all the sum of all frequencies. I than looked at the choices and chose B For the next one thee probability that a blue marble is not drawn is 2/5 because you cannot have 2 probabilities add up to 1.2

OpenStudy (penguin1234):

oh i see

OpenStudy (penguin1234):

how would you solve this one: next one: The probability that a blue marble is drawn out of a bag is 3/5 . What is the probability that a blue marble is NOT drawn?
